Clarification on organization rename impact and redirects

Hi!!

We are considering renaming our Hugging Face organization and would like to get an official confirmation, as we could not find clear documentation on this.

What are the implications of changing an organization name/namespace?

Specifically:

  • Will existing model, dataset, and Space URLs automatically redirect from the old org name to the new one?

  • Will existing repo IDs like old-org/model-name continue to work through redirects?

  • Are there any known breaking changes or limitations we should be aware of before renaming the org?
